Joe Rowett is an American serial entrepreneur, digital marketing expert, SEO expert, innovative technical strategist, and investor. Rowett is widely recognized as one of the early people who pioneered company growth strategies and generated over 100+ million in revenue for its clients through large-scale advertising. He has been active for over 25 years and has been largely responsible for creating digital marketing and growth ecosystems for his clients. Rowett is best known for his ROI-focused performance-based digital marketing strategies, user acquisition & growth hacking strategies, software product development, and e-commerce infrastructure management.

Rowett is considered an innovative technical strategist and currently serves as CEO of VELOX Media,[1] a premier digital marketing agency in the United States. He has been credited for popularizing “revenue backed search engine marketing” by Fortune 500 companies. During his career, he has founded several companies, including SEM.com, Exposé Wines, MaxBody, Adapia, MANjunk, BulletHost, and others. Rowett also served as a Mobile and Social Product Strategy Director at Bodybuilding.com.[2]

Early life and education

Rowett’s father was a military pilot, so he attended a different school every year until 8th grade. Rowett first ventured into business at age 14, teaching himself to code in Visual Basic and developing marketing applications that operated on America Online’s platform. Because he was under 18, he could not make money in affiliate marketing in the U.S., so alternatively, he found a Canadian sponsor to send him paychecks. Rowett attended Boise High School and went to college at Boise State University, where he studied Business Management.

Rowett has completed certifications from different specialties like Google Ads, Google Analytics, User Acquisition Growth Hacking, Software Product Evangelist, and Certified SCRUM Product Owner.

Career

Rowett began his career with RC Corporation in 2001 while attending college. This was the second company he founded, where he gained experience in affiliate marketing.

In 2008, Rowett became CEO of VELOX Media with his experience and knowledge of content marketing, search engine optimization, and management of paid advertising. He developed the company to become more capable in SEM, SEO, SMM, Content Marketing, and Link Building. He is noted for his adherence to and value investing for his clients, which turned VELOX Media into one of the leading ROI-focused digital marketing agencies globally.

Under Rowett's mentorship, VELOX Media became one of the fastest growing companies in the country and ranked 1 percent of ROI agencies internationally. Personal life

Rowett enjoys traveling the world. He is passionate about everything digital, owns a car collection of exotic and vintage automobiles, and collects watches. Rowett has owned over 75 cars to date.
