Political career
Coghill began his career in government working as a constituent liaison for State Senator Wayne Fontana. In 2010, he was elected as a Committeeman for the Allegheny County Democratic Party. After being re-elected by the Party in 2014, Coghill was chosen to serve as the Chairman of the 19th Ward, a position he holds to this day.[2]
In 2017, Coghill joined the race for the District 4 seat of the Pittsburgh City Council.
