Jeon Wonwoo (born July 17, 1996), mononymously known as Wonwoo, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter and composer under Pledis Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group Seventeen and a part of the Hiphop Team as the Lead Rapper.[1]
Early life
Jeon Wonwoo was born in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam Province, South Korea. Wonwoo graduated from the School of Performing Arts in 2015. He enrolled in Hanyang University for Practical Music Major K-POP Course in the 2020 Batch.
Career
2011-2014: Pre-debut
In 2013, Wonwoo, along with his current group members appeared on Seventeen TV, an online reality show that introduced Pledis' trainees and showed potential members of the boy group Seventeen before their official debut.
2015–present: Seventeen and solo activities
In 2015, Wonwoo debuted as a member of the South Korean boy group Seventeen with the extended play 17 Carat on May 29.[2]
Personal Life
Wonwoo's family consists of his father and a younger brother. His mother passed away in 2022 due to illness.[3]
