Jason Gullo[1] (born August 7th, 1989) better known as Jay-Gee is a hip hop record producer and audio engineer from Sydney, Australia[2]. Throughout his career he has worked with the likes of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Cassidy, Tha Outlawz, Lil Eazy-E, Evidence of Dilated Peoples, Monsta Ganjah, Mareko and KXNG Crooked[3][4] through recordings, performances and mix/master engineering.

Music career

Jay-Gee began his career in 2009 when he was chosen to take part in a think tank[5][6] for Bone Thugs-n-harmony's album "Uni5:The World's Enemy" at Burbank Studios, Los Angeles[7], where he critiqued the music along with producer LT Hutton. This later led to Jay-Gee joining the group on their Australian tours as a rapper[8], as well as follow up shows with Layzie Bone, Lil Eazy E, Cassidy & Tha Outlawz. These tours led to several musical collaborations. Jay-Gee featured on Young Noble's album "Outlaw Nation Vol.2[9]" under the alias Snork One. In 2013 he made the decision to step down from rap and focusing full time on production and engineering where he worked behind the scenes with various local artists.

Recent projects

In August of 2019, Jay-Gee released his first debut single as a producer titled "What's Goin' On?[10]" which featured artists Monsta Ganjah, Layzie Bone and Mareko. The track was well received in Australian & New Zealand due to it's strong line up, which led Jay-Gee to be signed to Monsta Ganjah's label PMR Records. Jay-Gee and Monsta Ganjah released their first collaborative album in April, 2020 titled "Ganjah Farmer 1"[11].

Current projects

Jay-Gee is currently working with several artists, including Monsta Ganjah. The pair are currently working on the follow up album "Ganjah Farmer 2" which is set to be released in late 2020.[12]
