Luigj Jax Laski (born April 7, 2000), professionally known as Jax Laski, is a Swiss actor, author, presenter, lecturer, and moderator known for his dynamic contributions to the performing arts.[1] He is best known as the host of Laski’s Late Light Show, which debuted in 2018 and received critical acclaim for its engaging format.[2]

In addition to his work in television, he is an accomplished author, having published several books, including The Drama Is Where I Am (2023) and F#ck the Status Quo (2024).[3]

Laski is also the founder of Drama Academy Switzerland, providing professional training in acting, directing, and production.

Early life and education

Laski was born on April 7, 2000, in Solothurn, Switzerland. He developed an early interest in the performing arts, participating in children's and youth theater. Laski pursued formal training at the Stage Academy Zurich and furthered his studies at Unseen in London. He learned various acting techniques, such as method acting and the Meisner technique.

Career

Laski's career spans across acting, directing, hosting, and writing. He launched his career with the "Late Light Show" in 2018.[4][5] Laski conceptualized and hosted the show, garnering significant acclaim for his dynamic and interactive hosting style. The show returned in 2020 at Youcinema Oftringen with an expanded format.

Laski has also published two books, The Drama Is Where I Am (2023), a guide for actors offering industry insights, and F#ck the Status Quo (2024), which explores themes of challenging societal norms and personal growth.[6]

In addition to his work on stage and screen, Laski is dedicated to training emerging talent. He founded the Drama Academy Switzerland to offer professional training for young talent, providing courses and workshops in acting, directing, and production. He also founded the Drama Agency Group, which represents emerging artists and supports them with career planning, marketing, and contract negotiations. He is also a lecturer at HKV Aarau.

He is currently directing a Swiss production of High School Musical, set to premiere in 2025. He is also directing the tribute show Hannah Montana Forever and his original play Two Lost Souls.[7]

Laski has also gained experience in influencer management and has a strong understanding of social media marketing and digital media strategies.
