Jasvir Singh Garhi is an Indian politician[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10], he currently serves as Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Punjab State unit's President.[11][12][13] He is ran as a BSP candidate from Phagwara Assembly Constituency for 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election[14][15][16][17] and finished third with 31232 votes (24.41%).[18] Under his presidency, BSP state general secretary Nachhatar Pal won from Nawan Shahr Assembly Constituency after 25 years.[19]

Activism

Garhi was associated with the BAMCEF for 18 years in his state government job on a post of veterinary inspector.

Politics

Garhi resigned from government service on 1 June 2019 and was appointed BSP Punjab state President on 3 June 2019 after 2019 Indian general election 2019.</ref>[20] For 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election, he was declared as a joint candidate[21] of Bahujan Samaj Party and Shiromani Akali Dal alliance from Phagwara Assembly Constituency (SC) assembly seat of Kapurthala district[22], where he was leading in first few rounds[23] but ultimately finished at third position.[24]
