Jason Hennessey (born January 27, 1978), is a New York-based entrepreneur, author, speaker, podcast host, business coach, and internationally-recognized SEO expert.[1] Hennessey is the CEO of Hennessey Digital, co-founder and former partner at EverSpark Interactive, founder and former owner of Creative Web Ventures, and the creator and administrator of iloveseo.com, an SEO news and resource website. He is also the author of the Amazon Best-seller “Law Firm SEO”.[2][3]

Recently in January 2022, Hennessey won the National Law Review Go-To Thought Leader Award. As an internationally acclaimed SEO expert, Hennessey has been featured in various leading publications and magazines including Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Media, Mashable, New York Times, and Inc.[4]

Early life and education

Hennessey was born on January 27, 1978, and raised on Long Island, New York. his parents separated when he was three years old. Hennessey along with his mother, Joann lived in with his grandparents, Frank and Josephine Marrone. He attributes his old-school values and people-honoring principles to the decades spent under the mentorship of his humble grandfather.

Hennessey was inclined to business and entrepreneurship from an early age. At the age of 7, he sold Juicy Fruit gum packs from his backpack to other students to make small profits. He attended Susan E. Wiley Elementary School, graduated from Copiague High School, and enlisted in the U.S Air Force to serve his country. Following his exit from the Air Force in 2001, Hennessey went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to study Business.

As he was studying for the LSAT, he shadowed a Nevada District Attorney, and within only 30 days he came to the realization that his passion was in pursuing entrepreneurship and he did not want to be a lawyer.

Career

Hennessey is a former united state Air force veteran.[5] He served the position for 4 years, 1996-2000. In 1998, Hennessey founded D.Jay’s Entertainment, a wedding DJ, photo, and videography services company. He bootstraps the idea in his dorm room during his Air Force service. He grew the business to 7 figures and sold it to Jeremy Gleason in 2007.[6][7]

In 2008, Hennessey relocated to Atlanta and started working as the Chief Staff at StomperNet.[8]

In 2010, Hennessey co-founded EverSpark Interactive, a digital marketing agency that promotes using innovative and tech-savvy web designing, content development, and SEO and SEM techniques to increase revenue and lead generation for its clients. In 2015, Hennessey sold his share of the company and moved to Los Angeles.[9][10]

In 2015, Hennessey established Hennessey Digital, a 100% virtual digital marketing agency, based in Los Angeles, California.[11] The company is specialized in legal marketing and promotes search and lead generation based on paid search, SEO, content, Conversion rate optimization, website development, and other creative services.[12] Within a short span of time the company grew to 100+ employees and became the fastest growing digital marketing company in America on the Inc. 500 list and ranked at #290 on the Inc. 5000 list.[13]

In 2020, Hennessey digital launched Hennessey Studios, a multimedia production studio in Hollywood, and launched Hennessey Ventures to support non-profit causes like Ihatecancer.org and related businesses.[14]

In 2021, Hennessey launched his first book titled “Law Firm SEO”, which became an Amazon Best-seller. Through the book, Hennessey shares the proven SEO strategies that he has used in building his businesses and achieved success for over two decades. He also discusses how he has reverse-engineered the google algorithm using practical tools and techniques.[15]

Hennessey is also the host of a popular podcast named “The Jason Hennessey Podcast”, a business podcast wherein Hennessey shares conversations with technologists, innovators, creators, scientists, business leaders, influencers, and other famous people to discuss their journey to success.[16]

As an SEO expert, and with the view to teach and share his knowledge with people and help them grow and learn, Hennessey has also created iloveseo.com to help people in curating their personalized SEO strategies.[17]

Recently in January 2022, Hennessey won the National Law Review Go-To Thought Leader Award for his digital content strategies that led to massive law firm growth.[18]

Personal life

Hennessey currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Bridget, and three children – JJ, Zach, and Brooklynn. In 2015, Hennessey moved his family to California where his son, fast-rising Hollywood actor Zach Hennessey, could focus on his dreams and acting career.
