Janne Lehtonen (born 1983) is a Finnish serial entrepreneur, firefighter and former Special Operation Forces operator for the Finnish Navy.[1] He is best known for appearing in finnish reality television show Erikoisjoukot as the head instructor, and competing in Amazing Race Suomi.[2][3]

Lehtonen served on the Finnish Navy's Special Operation Forces (SOF) unit for 13 years. He was one of the very first people that applied for the Finland's Special Forces of the Navy, upon the unit's discovery in the Gulf of Finland Naval Command (present day Coastal Brigade) in the early 2000's.[4] Originally trained as a Combat Diver, he served for the Defence Forces in multiple tours of duty, including in Afghanistan and Somalia twice, and fought against terrorism and piracy.[5][4]

Nowadays he works at the Helsinki Rescue Service and Fire Station as a Firefighter and Paramedic[1] with his ex-Special Forces collegue Robin Hendry[6] and co-owns a CrossFit gym at the town of Kerava.[7][8]

In civil life, Lehtonen is married to Mia-Riitta Lehtonen, his partner since teenage years.[9][10]
