Jamie Evans is an American author, event host, and blogger.[1] She is known for creating a website called The Herb Somm.[2][3]

Evans launched The Herb Somm in 2017.[2] A year later, she began hosting cannabis events focused on wine and food pairings.[2][4] She's been recognized for producing the private cannabis dinner series known as Thursday Infused, held in San Francisco, California.[1][5][6] In 2018, Francis Ford Coppola debuted his cannabis line known as the The Grower's Series at her Thursday Infused event.[7][8]

In 2020, Evans released her first book,The Ultimate Guide to CBD: Explore the World of Cannabidiol.[1] She followed this with the publication of Cannabis Drinks: Secrets to Crafting CBD and THC Beverages at Home (2021), published by Fair Winds Press of The Quarto Group.[9][10][11] In addition, Evans has contributed to PopSugar[12] and she's the co-editor of The Cooking Journal: A Cannabis Culinary Companion published by Goldleaf.[13]

Education

Evans studied viticulture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo|California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.[6] She also studied in the regions of Champagne wine region|Champagne and Alsace wine region|Alsace in France before earning the Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar certification.[9]

Other ventures

Evans is the Chief executive officer and Co-Founder of Herbacée, a Non-alcoholic drink French-inspired cannabis wine brand.[9][14]

Honors

In 2018, Evans was named as one of Wine Enthusiast magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers.[15][6]

In 2018, Evans was named as a "SevenFifty Daily Drinks Innovator" by SevenFifty Daily.[16][17]

In 2020, Evans was named as one of GreenMarket Report's "Most Important Women in Weed".[18]
