Anthony Alba (born 31 July 1984), popularly known as Jaby Koay, is an American YouTuber, critic, and social media personality. He reviews movies, TV shows, trailers, and makes Reaction video, Short film, Vlog, live streams, and skit videos early in his YouTube career. He also has an another channel GET Jaby dedicated to Games and Entertainment Talks[2]

His podcasts, streams and QnA's are also very popular. He has conducted interviews with many celebrities and internet personalities as well. He has a huge fan following in India. When he started making videos on various Indian topics, he became more popular in India.[3] He has a second channel GET Jaby dedicated to reaction videos, discussion and entertainment talks. Apart from him, another familiar face in his videos is Acara Kirk, who originally joined as a guest but is now one of Jaby's companions. Among the guests on his channel are Steph Sabraw, Syntell Koay and many others. [4]

Career

He started making videos as a skit-based comedy YouTube channel in 2006 and then started making review videos, reaction -discussion and vlogs. When Jaby Koay started creating movie reviews and trailer reviews along with his vlogs, people started enjoying his videos more.

His YouTube channel has over 2.09 million subscribers and over 1.79 billion cumulative views. Jaby Koay launched his YouTube channel on 9 June 2006, and his debut video, “Can We Do That?”[5] was released on June 10, 2006. In 2016, he first started uploading reaction videos to Bollywood trailers, which he continued. Soon his reaction videos started getting millions upon millions of views, which encouraged him to focus more on Indian content. On February 3, 2017, he posted a vlog entitled "Hello India" in which he shared some moments from his first trip to India.[6] In March 2019, Koay’s channel crossed a million subscribers. To mark the milestone, Koay, uploaded a dance video of himself set to a popular Bollywood song. [7]

He collaborated with many Indian YouTubeers, like Ashish Chanchalani and Jordindian, as well as doing interviews with many famous celebrities, such as Ryan George, R Madhavan[8] and Alia Bhatt [9].Jaby has also worked on several of his own short film projects, including Stalker (2017), Rost in Translation (2014), and Devil's Night (2016). He played the role of Aaron Darden in the comedy series Appland[10].

He has another YouTube channel named ‘GETJaby‘, where GET stands for Game and Entertainment Talk. He has more than 336 thousand subscribers on this channel. He uploaded the first video titled "SLEIGHT Trailer Reaction Discussion" on 17 January 2017.[2]
