About the founder

Matthew Lesher, the founder of Insight Entertainment, is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. While at Carnegie Mellon, Lesher was the on-campus representative for Warner Bros. Studios and Columbia Pictures marketing street teams, tasked with promoting films on Pittsburgh college campuses. Lesher also attended a summer semester at USC Film School.[5]

Lesher began his career in the mailroom at Universal before transitioning to the role of talent agent at the Marion Rosenberg Office. He then produced Conor McPherson's play St. Nicholas at the Primary Stages theater company for its U.S. debut, starring his client Brian Cox. Lesher then formed his own company, Insight Entertainment. Lesher is known for repping actors who are passionate storytellers, well-respected by their peers, and classically trained “actor’s actors.” He is also in demand as a guest lecturer, speaking about the entertainment industry at schools such as Yale, Juilliard, USC, and Carnegie Mellon.[6]
