Hetal A. Shah (born February 27, 1972) is an Indian-born American author, entrepreneur, business consultant, startups coach, YouTube vlogger, blogger, and management consultant. She is the president of Corporeal Creativity, a business coaching and consulting company. Hetal is a petite lady, and she is a US citizen.[1][2]

She is well-known for her involvement with the Network of South Asian Professionals during the 1990s, her startup venture, Vox Populi, Inc., between 2000 and 2002, and her book, 'Guide to the C-Suite of Fast-Growing Companies,' published in 2017. She has authored three business books, focusing on guiding startups and business executives on entrepreneurship, strategy, marketing, and finance.[3]

Early life and education

Hetal was born to Arunkumar Shah and Hansa Shah. Hetal grew up in Mumbai, obtained great school grades and outshined in many cultural activities. She studied Civil Engineering at Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute for three years, and immigrated to the United States in 1992. She had an excellent TOEFL score. She attained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University, Illinois, in 1993.[4]

Career

In India, during her college years, Hetal started and ran a small trading company, Compusales, between 1990 and 1992.[5]

In Massachusetts, Hetal worked an as investment representative for Edward Jones in 1994-95, during which time period, she held Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. In 1998, Hetal worked as an administrative assistant at Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation. She worked as a Product Manager and Marketing Strategy Consultant for two technology startups in Massachusetts.. These two startups dealt with web and telephone communications, and inspired Hetal to become a Founder and CEO.[6]

Between 1996 and 1999, Shah volunteered for organizations such as Boston Cares, which supports non-profits organizations and schools in Greater Boston, and as a social events and professional development chair for NetSAP (Network of South Asian Professionals of Boston). Many Indian American professionals knew Hetal.[7]

In 2000, Hetal founded and ran Vox Populi, a telecommunications and media startup based in Boston. The company offered speech recognition technology solutions to telecommunication carriers to increase their Yellow Pages revenue. Hetal’s startup reached some important milestones, but shut down in 2002 due to lack of funding.[8]

In 2006, Hetal provided billing services to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Hetal then went on a hiatus to advance her professional skills through various online courses. Hetal regained professional and creative flow, and became a meditator, occasional speaker, amateur dancer and amateur singer.

In 2015, Hetal started as an author and blogger. She started two blogs on startups and the robotics industry, which include her blog titled “Startups Coach.” The blog offers business advice for technology startups in the United States. Another blog, “Smart Robots,” offers information on the robotics industry.[9]

Hetal has a YouTube channel called “Superhetalshah,” where she provides professional development advice and guided meditations.[10]

Hetal released her first book in 2017 titled “Guide to the C-Suite of Fast-Growing Companies.” Other written works include “Guide to Leading Intrapreneurs” (2017) and “Guide to Profitability” (2019).[11][12]

In 2023, Hetal started a sole proprietorship business, Corporeal Creativity, to provide business consulting and coaching services to technology startups, Series A and Series B-funded companies in the United States.[13]

Hetal also provides professional development workshops on design thinking, marketing strategy, motivation and productivity, minimum viable product development, business plan development, business model development, and executive soft skills.[14]

She also runs a meetup group called “Entrepreneurship Connection." She has many college-educated followers in the United States. Hetal has many connections on Linkedin. She is proficient with Skype and Zoom.[15]

Personal life

Hetal was born into the Hindu faith but is currently an atheist. Hetal has been a U.S. resident since 1992. She has been living in the Boston area for over 27 years. She is divorced and has no kids.

Hetal enjoys watching movies, singing, dancing, visiting museums, reading and writing, and attending plays, concerts, professional events, and parties.
