Herman H. Hackenjos, or Herman Hack was an American actor born in Illinois on June 15, 1899.[1]. His parents were Andreas Hackenjos[2] Elisabeth Gramm[3][4], and had 2 brothers, Benjamen Hackenjos[5] and Andrew Hackenjos[6][7], who were 2 and 3 years older than Herman respectively. His birthname was Herman H. Hackenjos, however he shortened his surname to Hack later in life. He married his wife, Signe Axelia Newberg in May 7th, 1932 at 32 years old.[8] Signe was born 1 year prior to Herman in January 23rd, 1898.[9]

Career

Herman played several minor roles in various films, which where mostly B movie.[10] Other films that are notable are The Lawless Frontier (1934)[11], Paradise Canyon|Paradise Canyon (1935),[12] and others. At an unknown date, he moved to Los Angeles. He had 2 daughters with Signe, named Dorothy[13], born approximately in 1928[14] , and another daughter who is unknown.

Death

On October 19th, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, Herman died at age 68.[15][16]
