Hamza Sufyan is an Indian politician and activist based in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.[1][2] He was the elected Vice President of Aligarh Muslim University Students' Union representing 37000 students.[3][4] Hamza Sufyan led many campaigns in India and also involved in many agitation and protest across the country over national and international issues.[5][6] He is better known for his activism for human rights.[7][6] He also led protest against Citizenship Amendment Act protests|CAA/NRC in Aligarh.[8][9][10] He also led the national mass students' agitation to remove sedition charge which was imposed against him and 14 other university students.[11] Hamza is detained by police many times till now.[12] He was also arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody for 52 days for protesting and raising voice for rights of the people.[13][14] He was continuously harrassed from District Administration by seizing his surety bail bonds and invoking Goonda Act which results in losing 2 lakhs rupees and externment from City for 6 months respectively.[15][16][17][18]
