Haim Rachmani (Hebrew: חיים רחמני; born 1977) is an Israeli composer[1], musician[2] an sound artist, who works under pseudonym XAIM he came to prominence performing and recording as Quetev Meriri[3][4][5] with a rotating cast of musicians. also he is the main composer of the musical dous ReQamot with Shimon Adaf[6] and Ursulla Schwartz with Talik Koren Adir

Biography

Rachmani released his debut album as Quetev Meriri in 2008[7][8]. in 2009 he collaborate with plastic artist Eili Levy for the sound installation "Dead Cells" at the Israeli Center for Digital Art[9][10] in 2010 he released his debut album as Quetev Meriri: Al Xurvot HaAviv[11][12]Zer Aviv, Uri (22 July 2010). "לפי הקטב". Time Out Tel Aviv: 124.</ref>. and participate in the Ultraound festival at Temuna Theatre[13] in 2010 he released his debut album as Quetev Meriri: Qsamim LeSevel[14][15] in 2011 musician Talya Elav recorded his composition to Shin Shifra's poem Pashut, to her 2nd album Kod Hazikaron[16] in 2012 he released his 4th album as Quetev Meriri: BeEle HaYamim. the album include 7 new compositions to poems by Israeli poet Lea Goldberg[17][18] in 2015 he released his 4th album as Quetev Meriri: Shel Bney Tmuta (Of Mortals). the album is composition to poems from the book Aviva Lo by Israeli author and poet Shimon Adaf[19] in 2018 his composition Sheteq commissioned by Israel Music Institute and performed on The Israeli Music Fest[20][21][22] in 2017 he was one of the collaborators composers on Ronen Shapira's piece The Five Continents, that performed at the Carnegie Hall, New York as part of the Concert for a Sustainable Planet[23]. in 2019 he collaborate with Israeli poet Ronny Someck to create the album "Midraxot Mefiqot Xashmal (Sidewalks produce electricity)"[24][25], with 11 new composition by Haim Rachmani[26][27][28][29] to poems by Ronny Someck, performed by artists as Berry Sakharof[30][31], Alon Oleartchik, Abatte Barihun, Talya Eliav[32], Kosta Kaplan and more. the album elected as the best poetry musical album of the decade by Columbus magazine[33] [34] . Later this year published debut album by ReQamot, a collaboration of Haim Rachmani & Shimon Adaf. the songs in this album performed by various artists as Eran Zur[35], Haim Ulliel, Shai Tsabari, Noa Babayof and more.
