Guilherme Hirose is a Brazilian power metal Vocalist from São Paulo, Brazil, currently the frontman for the Swedish/American/Brazilian power metal supergroup (music) NorthTale.[1] and the Brazilian power metal| Power Metal band TraumeR.[2]

Early Life

He started his musical life when he was fourteen years old, having his first lessons in his hometown. He graduated in Music Production & Audio Engineering at Anhembi Morumbi University and worked as Tour & Production Manager for many artists, such as Doro_(musician)| Doro Pesch, U.D.O., Primal Fear, Kamelot, Delain, etc, on their Latin American Tours.[3]

Career

His first notability came with TraumeR, a Brazilian Power Metal band, in which he is Frontman and the band's Music Producer.

In 2014 he grabbed a deal with Total Steel Records for the releasing of "The Great Metal Storm", the band's debut album, and a month after its release date, this album entered the Japanese Import Charts.

In 2016, continuing his deeds, he tried contacting the legendary Japanese Record Company JVC Victor by using their customer service channel. Using Google_Translate|Google Translate to write the messages in Japanese, he succeeded on getting the contact of theVictor Entertainment Artists Relations Manager, and also his attention. He signed a deal with that legendary label and got well known in Japan because of that audacious and not often seen story. The first album of this deal was "Avalon", also produced and mixed by him, and mastered by Mika Jussila in Finland at the Finnvox_Studios| Finnvox Studios.[4]

In 2018, his efforts continues on finding a new label to collaborate with Victor Entertainment for rest of the world range, out of his Japanese deal. He once again was well succeeded on signing a deal with the Greek label ROAR! Rock of Angels Records. In May 9th, 2018, the album "History", produced, engineered and mixed by him and mastered by Mika Jussila in Finland at the Finnvox_Studios| Finnvox Studios was released in Japan, followed by the release in the rest of the world in 2019.[5]

He entered in the Japanese Official Charts by Burrn!|Burrn! Magazine with TraumeR on two albums: "Avalon"[6] and "History"[7] released in Japan by the major label Victor Entertainment [8] [9].[10][11]

Still with his band TraumeR, he appeared in a Japanese TV show after the "Avalon" album get recognized in Japan, and "Forever Starts Tomorrow" Music Video, taken from that album, was presented by Masa Ito on his TV Show: "Rock City" at TV Kanagawa.[12][13]

International Notability

In December 2020, he was officially announced as the new Frontman of power metal supergroup (music) NorthTale, led by the guitarist Bill Hudson (guitarist) together with Mikael Planefeldt, Jimmy Pitts and Patrick Johansson (musician).

For joining this band, he has been auditioned in a worldwide search that included 40 candidates from 11 different countries.[14].[15]

Also in December 2020, he recorded his vocals parts for the NorthTale's Sophomore album at Dharma Studios, located in São Paulo, Brazil.[16]

In February, 2021 NorthTale released a "Guilherme Hirose version" of "Bring Down the Mountain" song as a video on Youtube. Following the new releases, in August 13th, 2021, the band released a single for "Follow Me - 2021 Version" available in all streaming platforms, through Nuclear Blast with Guilherme Hirose's vocals on it, and also a video on Youtube as the "Official Playthrough" for this song, featuring Guilherme Hirose and Bill_Hudson_(guitarist)|Bill Hudson.[17]

As a taste of NorthTale's new album, Nuclear Blast released the very first single "Only Human", in which Guilherme Hirose is credited as Lyricist, together with Bill Hudson (guitarist)|Bill Hudson and Dennis_Ward_(musician)| Dennis Ward and hit more than 200.000 views on Youtube.[18]

The second single off of "Eternal Flame" was "Midnight Bells", bringing a much more heavy style and personal beliefs of Guilherme Hirose. [19]

The third and last single of "Eternal Flame" was "Future Calls", with Guilherme Hirose lyrics, counts on a guest appearance of Kai_Hansen|Kai Hansen and his son, Tim Kanoa Hansen. [20]

NorthTale's sophomore album "Eternal Flame"[21], the first one with Guilherme Hirose as vocalist, produced by Dennis_Ward_(musician)| Dennis Ward, was released on November 12, 2021 through Nuclear Blast| Nuclear Blast Records.[22]
