Gregory Diaz IV (born 2 May 2005) is an American actor, singer and dancer.

Early life and education

Diaz was born in Manhattan, NY and is of Puerto Rican descent. He attended Professional Performing Arts High School for one semester before transferring to online schooling. He will start his Sophomore year of High School at Dwight Global Online in 2020. He has a younger Brother name Chase.

Career

Starting in 2015, Diaz was cast as Obnoxious Kid #1 in Carrie Pilby.

In 2016, Diaz joined the revival and first all kid professional cast of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown as Schroeder at the York Theater.[1]

After being cast as Schroeder, Diaz went on to join the closing cast Broadway production of Matilda the Musical as a Bruce swing.

Early 2017, Diaz is cast as Tommy in the last US tour production of Matilda the Musical.

Diaz played the role of boy in January 2018 in the production of Zurich [2] at NYTW, and earned a nomination for Outstanding ensemble at the New York Innovative Theatre Awards - Home.[3]

In March 2018, Diaz appeared in the popular Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as Quentin.

Diaz is cast as lead role Pedro in May 2018 in the production of Pedro Pan at the Acorn theatre. He was recognized for his stage work, earning a NYMF Performance award.[4]

In June 2018, it was announced that Diaz had been cast as Luis Acosta in Director and Emmy winner Oz Rodriguez's comedy film Vampires vs. the Bronx.[5]

In December 2019, Diaz made a guest star appearance in NBC's series New Amsterdam.

Diaz can be seen starring in the highly anticipated Warner Bros. feature musical In the Heights.[6] Directed by Jon Chu Crazy Rich Asians, the film is based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name, and includes lyrics from Emmy, Tony and Grammy award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda. Set for a theatrical release on 18 June 2021.[7][8][9]
