Greater Bay Airlines
Greater Bay Airlines (Chinese: 大灣區航空) is a proposed Hong Kong-based low-cost carrier[1][2] The airline was established as to tap on the growing Greater Bay Area and to fill the void following the departure of Cathay Dragon.[3] It plans to commence operations on 1 October 2021 with a charter flight between Hong Kong and Beijing.[4][5]
Destinations
Greater Bay Airlines has filed an application to Hong Kong’s Air Transport Licensing Authority to serve more than 100 cities in the Asia-Pacific region.[6][7] The airline plans to launch services to Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket in the fourth quarter of 2021.[8][9]
Fleet
Greater Bay Airlines has leased an initial three Boeing 737-800 to commence operations. The first aircraft was delivered in August 2021, with the remaining two set to join the fleet by end-2021.[10][11]
