GoodAccess is an Virtual Private Network (VPN) with identity-based access control developed by Michal Cizek, Martin Cizek, and Jiri Hromadka. It is the first affordable SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solution for SMEs, best known for offering secure remote access to business systems, company networks, and other cloud resources.[1]
GoodAccess is marketed as a privacy and security tool and has gained recognition for its unique features which include a static IP, software-defined perimeter, and zero-trust network access. The VPN’s interface has been noted as being user-friendly and affordable.[2]
GoodAccess was developed with the aim to provide internet privacy and cyber security, especially to remote workers. Since its official launch in 2020, the company has gained mass public recognition, winning two awards for its innovative stride in the SASE industry.[3]
History
GoodAccess started its initial operations in 2014 in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic. Soon the company began gaining recognition for its VPN service, primarily serving the home users. But eventually, inspired by its own struggles, the company decided to create a business VPN for SMEs in order to make remote access accessible and affordable for them.[4]
Two years after its foundation, GoodAccess launched a cloud platform specifically designed to cater to the needs of small and midsize businesses which would allow them to safely interconnect users, systems, data, and other business resources. In 2020, Good Access launched the next generation of its tool to the global market. GoodAccess offers client apps or manual configurations for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, and routers.[5]
Since its inception, GoodAccess has landed over 10,000 customers and over 1000 companies spanning across over 120 countries.[6]
Funding
GoodAccess has received a seed investment over $1Million (USD) from Nation 1.[7]
