Gilbert Asante is a Ghanaian creative director, photographer and a multidimensional artist.

Early Life

At the age of 19, he took a journey to the Japanese art centre which became a source of inspiration for his creativity.[1][2]

Career

Gilbert is the creative lead and co-owner for his digital production agency Laceup Media which has been operating for the last 7 years.[2]

During the COVID-19 pandemic he introduced his living portraits which has definitely shown the photography industry in Ghana that one can merge all their interest to achieve exceptional imagery with unexpected dramatic elements to it.

He has worked on a number of commercial advertising campaigns with a long list of clients including Nestle, Vodafone, Guinness, Max international, Glitz Africa, Canoe Magazine, EMY Magazine and several A list celebrities like Jackie Appiah, Victoria Michaels, Lydia Forson, Anita Erskine, Joselyn Dumas, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings just to name a few.

Awards

His images are regularly featured in both online and hardcopy magazines in Ghana and Nigeria and has received two distinction awards from the leading Glitz Style Awards and lifestyle magazine as photographer of the year 2016, 2018[1][3]
