GHULAM ARIQUL ALAM, afwc, psc is a Brigadier General in the Bangladesh Army.[1]
BA 5702 Brigadier General Ghulam Ariqul Alam, afwc, psc, infantry is a one-star general of the Bangladesh Army. He is currently appointed as Commander of the President Guard Regiment. Earlier, he was the Deputy commander of President Guard Regiment, Dhaka Cantonment.
Career
Ariq was commissioned into the army in 1998. He was posted to the East Bengal Regiment, where he served as a lieutenant. He served under the blue helmet as the contingent commander of BANRDB-5 of the UN in 2022. Ariq also served as GSO-1 of the AFWC wing in 2021, after which he was promoted to the rank of colonel. During late 2024, he was posted from the Army War Game Centre to the deputy commander of the President Guard Regiment.
At the start of 2025, he was promoted to the rank of brigadier general and posted as the commander of the President Guard Regiment.
