Gastón Tourn (born in 1990) is a senior marketing leader with global marketing experience in big tech and fast-growing startups. He is the Chief Marketing Officer at Appear Here, an online marketplace for retail space.[1]

He is a regular speaker at conferences regarding marketing, technology and storytelling.[2][3][4]

Early life and education

Tourn was born in Bahía Blanca, southern Argentina. He studied Communication at the University of Buenos Aires, completed an MBA programme in Marketing at The Wharton School and has a Master’s in Creative Writing at Oxford University. He is currently studying for a Master's in Software Engineering at Harvard University.

Tourn is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of Appear Here, an online marketplace for retail space. He was previously with Google for five years working across several international markets.[5] He was also the CMO of Badoo (now Bumble Inc.)[6] and Emma – The Sleep Company, a leading sleep tech player.[7]

Academic research

Tourn has been an academic researcher in social media and semiotics, and has presented the results of his research at several world congresses and international magazines.[8][9][10][11]

Writing

Tourn has published short fiction and poetry.[12][13][14]

Tourn is fluent in eight languages.[15]
