Gabriel Otte is an American entrepreneur, software engineer, and researcher.[1][2] He is the co-founder of the biotechnology company Freenome and the fintech firm Dinari, and is a partner at Healthcare Co-op.[3][4][5]

Early life and education

Otte graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Chemistry and Computational Biology in 2011.[6] During and after his undergraduate years, he worked as a research assistant at Cornell, contributing to biomedical research linking small blood vessel diseases to Alzheimer’s disease.[7]

He later earned a Master of Theology through the Antiochian House of Studies in conjunction with the University of Balamand in Lebanon.[8]

Career

Otte began his career by joining Apple as a software engineer.[3] He also worked as a software engineer at Glyde Corporation.[9]

In 2014, Otte co-founded Freenome, a biotech company that applies machine learning and genomics for early cancer detection through blood-based diagnostic tests.[10][11][12][13] He served as CEO of the company from 2016 until 2021.[14][15]

While at Freenome, Otte also became a Partner at Healthcare Co-op in May 2018, and he continues to be actively involved in that role.[16]

After his time at Freenome, he shifted his focus to the blockchain and finance sectors. He co-founded Dinari, a startup designed to tokenize real-world assets, including U.S. equities, with the goal of making stock trading more accessible and decentralized.[17] Under his co-leadership, Dinari secured substantial funding and worked toward regulatory compliance, including registering as a transfer agent with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to support tokenized stock trading.[18][19][20]

Philanthropy

In 2017, Otte and his wife established the Otte Family Capital foundation, which supports initiatives in healthcare, technology, and faith-based programs.[14] He is also an ordained deacon at St. Stephen Orthodox Church in Campbell, California, under the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America.[14]
