Forbes 30 Under 30
Forbes 30 Under 30 is a series of lists of persons under the age of 30 that are published yearly by Forbes magazine and several of its regional editions. The American lists honour 600 business and industry leaders, with 30 individuals chosen from each of the twenty categories included on the lists. Asia and Europe each contain 10 categories, for a total of 300 persons each, but Africa only has a single list of 30 people. Forbes organises related seminars and maintains a section of its website titled 30 Under 30.
Randall Lane was in charge of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list when it was first published in 2011. By 2016, the number of nominations for the list had surpassed 15,000, with Forbes editors picking 30 winners for each of the list's 20 categories.
Over time, Forbes has extended the concept to include continental rankings for Asia, Europe (which was released in 2016), and Africa.
Forbes also utilises the Under 30 moniker for a dedicated channel on their website, which is linked to a 30 Under 30 social media app. According to the Washington Post, the channel promises to give "millennial-focused content to the magazine's many important customers." The social networking app is a cooperation with Tinder, which was initiated by Sean Rad, a past 30 Under 30 honoree and cofounder and president of Tinder.
