Fruzsina Nagy is a multi-ethnic, Hungarian actress. She began her career as a child actor in Maurice Maeterlinck's theatre play The Blue Bird (play) directed by Judit Pogány. She has had major roles in award winning short and feature films such as. Her heritage can be traced back to German, Austrian and Jewish ancestry. During spring 2020, she has portrayed Baroness Hilda Rokoczay as series regular for RTL Klub continuing period drama series Land of the brave centered around an upper class family in the 19th century Austria-Hungary|Austro-Hungarian Empire.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Nagy was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. She developed a passion for the performing arts at a young age, initially training in classical ballet and contemporary dance at the Hungarian National Ballet Academy. Transitioning to theater and film as a teenager, she graduated from the NYU-Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City in 2016.
Throughout her life, nagy has lived and worked in in Spain, the U.K., Israel, and in the U.S. she currently resides in Amsterdam.
Career
Film and television
For the past spring season, 2020, Fruzsina has played one of the lead roles as the Austrian socialite Baroness Hilda Rokoczay in a leading European cable news outlet RTL Group Hungarian division'sRTL Klub original period drama series Land of the brave. The story is in conjunction with the golden era of the Austria-Hungary|Austro-Hungarian Empire, this romantic drama series is focusing on the fictional Rokoczay family and their social lives in the late 1860's and early 70's. Nagy's multiethnic background and features assisted in her being cast for the role of the Austrian Baroness Rokoczay.[4][5]
