Francisco González (born January 19th, 1982) is an American independent game designer and voice actor. He is best known for the freeware Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator series, as well as commercial projects A Golden Wake', Shardlight, and Lamplight City.[1][2]

Career

González began designing games with Adventure Game Studio in 2001, contributing three titles to the Reality-on-the-Norm series.[3][4][5] In 2004, he released the first three games in the Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator series as Grundislav Games. The final game in the series was released in 2012.

In October 2014, González published his first commercial game, A Golden Wake, with Wadjet Eye Games.[6] Soon after, he was hired as a full-time designer and began working on Shardlight, which eventually released in March 2016.[7] González began developing Lamplight City in late 2015, at which point he was also laid off from Wadjet Eye.[8] Due to creative differences, Lamplight City was eventually published by Application Systems Heidelberg.[9]

In January 2019, González began production on Rosewater, a Western (genre) set in the same alternate history of Lamplight City.[10]

In addition to game development, González has also worked as a voice actor, playing roles in several Wadjet Eye titles like Gemini Rue, Resonance (video game)|Resonance, and Unavowed.[11]
