Fernando Arrieta (born December 27, 1989) is an Argentine auditor and educator who is an expert in management systems certification. He is the Regional Director of Global Certification (G-Certi LATAM).[1]
With extensive experience in auditing and organizational consulting, Arrieta has led initiatives to enhance compliance with international standards across various companies. He has also contributed to the development of training programs and strategic agreements aimed at promoting quality and security in organizations.[2]
Early life and education
Arrieta was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in foreign trade at the Universidad de Palermo in Buenos Aires.
Arrieta specializes in organizational consulting and coaching and is an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 37001:2016, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 certified lead auditor. Additionally, he holds an Internal Auditor certification for FSSC 22000 Food Version 4.1.
Career
Arrieta has over 17 years of experience in management systems certifications, as well as related international norms and standards. Throughout his career, he has assisted organizations in improving quality, safety, and sustainability, navigating market challenges, and enhancing their global competitiveness.
Arrieta is currently the regional director of Global Certifications for the Latin American (LATAM) region. Global Certification, also known as G-Certi, is an international certification body that specializes in providing various certification services across multiple sectors, including quality management, environmental management, and food safety.
Arrieta, as the regional director for LATAM, has been instrumental in overseeing the certification processes for over 20,000 companies globally, enhancing their operational efficiency and compliance with international standards across various sectors. Under his guidance, G-Certi LATAM has achieved accreditation from the International Accreditation Service (IAS).
Before his current position, Arrieta was the CEO of Asepyme. He joined Asepyme in 2014, where he oversaw auditing projects across various ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 37001 (Anti-bribery Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 27001 (Information Security). Arrieta focused on improving organizational practices and fostering adherence to best practices in management systems.
Arrieta has also served as an advisor to the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation, providing technical and strategic support to legislators. He conducted research and drafted legislative proposals, reports, and recommendations that informed public policy and governance.
Throughout his career, Arrieta has spearheaded several significant initiatives aimed at promoting quality and security in organizations. Notably, he coordinated the International Standardization Congress, a platform for sharing best practices in the implementation of international standards and risk management.
He has also participated in the America Segura program. The program aims to strengthen organizational security in Latin America by implementing high-quality international standards. It focuses on helping companies protect their assets and ensure compliance with global security regulations, particularly in information security. The program also offers internship opportunities for recent graduates and individuals who have completed specialized courses.
Arrieta also leads the Quality Program, assisting organizations in implementing international quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 for private and public companies and government entities. The program focuses on improving operational efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting continuous improvement across all organizational areas.
Arrieta has earned recognition for his contributions to the creation of advanced training programs for ISO consultants, such as the ISO Consultant Workshop, which provides participants with the skills they need to successfully implement management systems based on ISO standards.
Arrieta is also a regular speaker at international conferences and events, having spoken at Mundo Empresa and the International Standardization Congress.
Philanthropy
Arrieta is an active philanthropist. He participates in various non-profit organizations and charities that promote sustainable initiatives. He serves as president of the Argentina Circular Economy Awards evaluation committee, rewarding and promoting companies that contribute to sustainable development goals.
Personal life
Arrieta resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys reading books and articles on organizational management, process optimization, and new methodologies. He also practices meditation and enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid pet lover and has two pets, Luna and Aru.
