Felipe Vasquez (born September 24) is an American entrepreneur and businessman, computer programmer, actor, writer, and producer.[1] He is the founder and CEO of The Phone Up Studios Inc., an entertainment conglomerate headquartered in Texas, United States. Under Vasquez's leadership, the company has diversified its operations across various sectors of the entertainment industry through its subsidiaries.[2]

Vasquez has notably contributed to the film industry with his involvement in several productions, including "Entropy" (2022), "Trolls Band Together" (2023), "Scrooge: A Christmas Carol" (2022), "Somewhere in Queens" (2022), "Smoke Out: The Movie" (2024), and "Don't Look Away" (2023).[3]

Early life and education

Vasquez was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Euline and Fernando Vasquez, along with two sisters and two brothers. His father was a semi-truck driver and worked for Gravity Oilfield Services Inc and Swift Transportation Inc. his mother was a stay at home mom. He attended Snyder Junior High School, where he developed an interest in programming and technology through a technology elective course. Continuing his education, Vasquez enrolled at the Christian Academy of America before transitioning to Laurel Springs School in 2021. While at Laurel Springs, he secured an internship in business and technology studies at Stanford University. He also attended George Washington University Online High School. Vasquez is pursuing his studies at the University of Texas at Austin High School and also attends Stanford University.

Additionally, Vasquez has pursued certificates in business analysis from Harvard Business School Online and composing and orchestrating for film and TV from Berklee College of Music. He also holds a Diploma in Writing for Film, Television, and Games from Vancouver Film School.

Career

Vasquez began his career in 2016 as a sales professional at BabySam, where he was involved in sales and customer service and was responsible for rebuilding the company's website and creating a prototype for their brand's app. Concurrently, he transitioned to Google, working as a content writer and specializing in generating user manuals, help articles, and training materials.[4]

In 2017, Vasquez founded his first company, Phill's Merchandise (Phill's Merch), which gained recognition for its apparel and catered to small businesses and social media influencers. In 2018, Vasquez joined Amazon Web Services as a sales specialist, gaining valuable insights into the technology landscape and the complexities of technology sales. Later that year he resigned.[5]

Following the closure of Phill’s Merch in 2019, Vasquez rebranded and launched his second company, Baby's & More, an comprehensive on-line retail platform specializing in baby-related merchandise.

In 2021, Vasquez merged, rebranded and restructured Baby's & More and it’s predecessor Phill's Merch to establish The Phone Up Studios, an apparel brand that served customers in the United States.[6]

However, by late 2021, the company had evolved into a premier entertainment conglomerate. Felipe Vasquez serves as the CEO, founder, and president of the company. The Phone Up Studios, Inc., overseeing and operating various subsidiaries in the entertainment industry.[7]

Additionally, Vasquez has been involved in various roles within the film industry. His credits include producer for "Entropy" (2022), actor in "Trolls Band Together" (2023), associate editor for "Scrooge: A Christmas Carol" (2022), special effects in "Somewhere in Queens" (2022), producer and director of "Smoke Out: The Movie" (2024), and digital producer for "Don't Look Away" (2023).
