Evan Kropp is the Director of Distance Education at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications[1]. Prior to this position, Kropp was the Associate Dean of Faculty, Communication and Philosophy at Southern New Hampshire University.[2]
Education
Kropp earned his Ph.D. from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.[3] His dissertation was titled "Social TV: viewer interactions with television production: the case of Bones."[3] While attending the University of Georgia, he was a doctoral assistant for the Peabody Awards[4]. Kropp earned an M.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Hartford Department of Communication. His master's thesis was titled "Grilling with gas and cooking with class: an analysis of gender representations on food television."[5]
Publications
Kropp has published internationally in KOME - An International Journal of Pure Communication Inquiry.[6] He has also published several articles focused on higher education teaching and learning. [7][8][9]
