Essam Ali Yahya Al-Emad (Arabic:عصام علي يحيى العماد) was born in 1968 AD in Yemen in the city of Ibb, the village of “Al-Sabbar”. He is a yemeni shia muslim cleric.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Personal life

He grew up in a sunni family and was influenced by the Wahhabi Salafi movement. The origins of the al-Imad family date back to Zaidiyyah, some of them moved to the Salafi regions and moved to the Salafi school of thought, and others are Zaidiyyah. Essam entered the Wahhabi schools at the age of six and worked in Yemen’s Wahhabi schools and mosques. continued his academic studies until he obtained a bachelor’s degree in the department Islamic studies then obtained a degree Master, and then a certificate Doctorate in the sciences of the Qur’an and hadith. In the area of Dr. Essam’s interest in religious study, besides his academic studies he studied the Wahhabi school of thought in religious institutes including (Sana'a Scientific Institute), which is the largest Wahhabi institute in Yemen, and he took the secondary - the legal department - from this institute, and he memorized ten parts of the Qur’an Then he studied with Yemeni scholars in the mosques, attended the lessons of some prominent scientific personalities in Sanaa, then he taught Salafi jurisprudence.[1][2][3][7][4][6][5]

Reconsidering Shiism

The first incident that called on Dr. Essam to renew his consideration of his vision and assessment of the Shiite entity was that he had obtained the book (Imam Al-Sadiq) by his author Muhammad Abi Zahra, so this book was the first book that gave Dr. Essam the opportunity to look from another angle to the Shiites. Dr. Essam says about this book: "This book - although it contains a criticism of the Jaafari school of thought - but it was distinguished in an objective manner in discussing the buildings and beliefs of the Shiites and its style differs from the approach of divine benevolence and other whose writings are overburdened by subjective and imbalanced methods." From this standpoint, Dr. Essam decided to follow the method of Abu Zahra in his study of Shiism, so he went on to search in a non-fanatic manner until he found the magazine "Message of Islam", an ancient Egyptian magazine, in which he found research that deals with the topic of Shiism. he convert from Wahhabi to Shia Twelver.[1][2][3][7][4][6][5]

When Dr. Issam found his prostitution in the Shiite school, he could not bear to remain in his previous affiliation, then he changed his ideological affiliation, and embraced the Shiite school of thought, then decided to migrate to the land that helps him to deepen the link with the belief that imposed itself on him with evidence and evidence, so he returned to his country Yemen Where he was studying in Saudi Arabia at that time, Then he traveled to Syria and joined the Hawza in Damascus, so he stayed for a short time, then he traveled to Iran in 1990 joined the Hawza in the holy city of Qom, where he studied introductions and surfaces until he reached the overseas research in the Hawza, and he is considered from the oldest student delegation to Iran to seek knowledge. Then, after reaching the required rank in science, Dr. Essam initiated the process of exhorting, so he practiced the teaching of Ahl al-Bayt sciences among the Hawza scholar and began writing and writing, and he also confronted a debate Ahl al-Sunnah and dialogue with them in order to show them The facts he reached during the research, and among these debates is his debate with the sheikh Othman Al-Khamis.[1][2][3][7][4][6][5]
