Eric J. Rose is an American business executive who is the founder and chief executive officer of Event Risk.[1][2]
Career
Rose began his career in the United States Marine Corps in 1996 where he served in the Marine Anti-Terrorism Security Team.[3]
Later, he joined the law enforcement and started serving as a police officer with assignments in the Gang Suppression Unit and as a field training officer. Until October 2013, Rose served as a K9 unit dog handler for the Madison Township Police Department.[3] Afterwards, he acquired a role as a K9 trainer with the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command in Virginia.[3]
Rose has worked at Pinkerton, managing security for Fortune 500 companies and entertainment events such as the Super Bowl, Grammys, and Emmys.[4][5] He is also known as a former bodyguard to many celebrities including Kim Kardashian and John Legend.[6]
In 2019, Rose founded Event Risk, a firm providing physical security and consulting services.[7] He is credited for evacuating Madison Square Garden during the Jennifer Lopez concert in the 2019 blackout of New York City.[6]
