Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, a Nigerian politician and business man who hails from Amaogwu Village in Bende LGA of Abia State was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Kalu on 15th August, 1961. He attended his elementary school within his locality and then completed his secondary school education at Methodist College, Uzuakoli in Umuahia, Abia State. Thereafter, he gained admission into Phoenix University, USA where he studied Electrical Engineering. He is a prominent man in the society. Engr. Dr. Kalu is the CEO of Stercoll Group of Companies having subsidiaries and annexes with its headquarter in the United States of America. He is also a Chieftain of People' s Democratic Party (PDP) and is serving as the National Coordinator, PDP Coalition since 2019. Dr. Kalu is happily married and blessed with four children.[1][2]
Political Career
In 2015, Chief Emeka Kalu aspired and ran for governorship of Abia State under the umbrella of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) but he lost.[3] In 2019, he was the mobilizer of Atiku Abubakar/Peter Obi PDP Presidential campaign through a movement tagged "ATIKULATED AGENDA" with the goal of winning the election for the party.[4] He is a Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party working to ensure the Party succeeds in the 2023 general elections.[5] Chief Emeka kalu is also the Director General of Global Initiatives For Good Governance (GIGG).[6][7]
Industrial Career
Dr. Emeka Kalu is an industrialist with good stake in the oil/gas services, shipping, offshore rigging, platform assemblage, consultancy, electronic fittings, construction and general merchandize. He is always prepared to contribute his quotas for the overall transformation of Nigeria economy.[8] He is passionate about helping humanity and is empowering people through his foundation, Stercoll Foundation, a charity and philanthropic organization that has been providing education, health related and other humanitarian services.[9][1]
