Elie Abousaab is a Lebanese social entrepreneur and communication strategist based in Paris, France. Career
Abousaab began his professional journey in 2004 by founding Creapix [5], advertising & marketing agency, with offices in the Gulf and Europe. In 2014, Creapix received the Technology Innovation Company of the Year award [6] as featured in Arab Week [7] and Anbaa Online [8]
In 2021, Abousaab established Citron Conseil [9] in Paris, focusing on communication consultancy and advertising.
Social Entrepreneurship and Activism
Abousaab is involved in social entrepreneurship. In 2014, he was named an Ashoka Fellow [10], in 2023 he founded ACTE NGO [11] in France, focusing on promoting ethical communication, media literacy at young age and integrating fact-checking & critical thinking within school curriculums [12]. He received a commendation from the Lebanese General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces [13] for the campaign Creapix launched addressing the issue of celebratory gunfire.
His initiative Jouwar[14] focuses on community-driven solutions to social and economic issues. Jouwar was a finalist in the MIT Arab World competition [15] and has been mentioned in media outlets such as L'Orient-Le Jour [16], La Tribune [17], and Annahar [18]
Speaking Engagements
Abousaab has been a speaker at international conferences. He spoke at the 12th Harvard Alumni Association held at the Kempinski Hotel in Jordan at the Dead Sea, and at the May Chidiac Foundation's Free Connected Minds event along side Anousheh Ansari and Mohamad Mourad google managing director in the MENA region. Ashoka Fellow (2013 - Present) He was selected as an Ashoka Fellow in recognition of his work in social entrepreneurship.[22]
Social Innovation Award in Technology (2015) He received the Social Innovation Award in Technology at the Social Economic Awards for his initiatives combining technology and social innovation.[23]
