Easy Crypto is a cryptocurrency retailer headquartered in New Zealand that provides a platform for buying, selling, exchanging and tracking various cryptocurrencies.[1][2]

Following Easy Crypto NZ’s success in the New Zealand market, Easy Crypto expanded to Australia in 2019 and South Africa in 2020,[3] and is now preparing to launch operations in more countries in Africa and South America.[4]

History

Easy Crypto was founded by siblings Alan and Janine Grainger in late 2017 and its platform was launched in early 2018.[5][6][7]

After launching to the public, Easy Crypto saw rapid growth in the New Zealand cryptocurrency scene, achieving over $50 million in sales.[8]

Alan Grainger who had worked in the IT sector for 20 years in companies like L’oreal and Sanitarium developed the website and trading UI. Janine Grainger who had vast experience in finance, economics, and the NZ business sector from working at Westpac, PwC, Air New Zealand, would focus on the regulatory and business structure of Easy Crypto NZ.[9]

Easy Crypto expanded its wings to Australia in 2019 with Andrew Butler as Managing Director,[10] and opened in South Africa in 2020 with Lloyd Brown as Head of Emerging Markets[11]. Today, Easy Crypto becomes a platform for people in New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa to buy and exchange more than 50 cryptocurrencies.[12]
