Dynasty Sport is an New Zealand Sportswear apparel manufacturing company. Dynasty Sports headquarters in Auckland includes a fully operational warehouse, however, they also have production facilities in China[1].

History

The company was registered in 2018 in the city of Auckland after Co-Founder and current Managing Director Peter Rakich parted ways with BLK (sportswear), of which he was previously a licensed distributor of the brand and its trade mark through New Zealand based company Direct sport[2]. Use of the BLK domain name became a point of dispute between BLK and Rakich eventually escalating to a locking of the domain in August 2018 pending the outcome of a complaint made to the Domain Name Commission[3]. The lead up to dispute proceedings and and uncertainty surrounding outcome led to the separation of identity from the BLK brand and registration of the dynastysport.co.nz domain in July 2018[4].

Initially focusing on the New Zealand domestic market, Rakich quickly leveraged existing connections with Rugby in Croatia, Tonga and Australia to strengthen the brand through partnerships with both professional and national sporting teams.[5][6][7]. Since then Dynasty Sport's partnership network has extended to other sports, schools and community programs[8].
