Dr. Motakef attended the University of California, Irvine as a Regents’ Scholar and received his undergraduate degree. Following his graduation, Dr. Motakef spent several years researching stem cells at the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, leading to the first stem cell-derived therapy to undergo clinical trials in the U.S. He then went on to study and graduate with honors from Albany Medical College followed by an integrated plastic surgery residency at the Loma Linda University Department of Plastic Surgery where he worked with renowned experts to gain comprehensive expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
