Don Gayhardt is a senior financial services executive, known for his wide experience, strategic thinking and goal-oriented approach towards leading and managing financial services organizations. Gayhardt currently serves as the President and CEO of CURO Group Holdings Corp, a full-spectrum consumer credit lender serving U.S. and Canadian customers.[1]

He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, building teams of thousands of employees across the US and Canada regions. He specializes in directing complex financial transactions and overseeing large acquisitions in the short-term credit industry. Gayhardt is also regarded for his ability to build positive, productive organizational cultures that increase employee satisfaction and allow for work-life balance.

Early life and education

Gayhardt holds a bachelor in business administration (BBA) in Accounting from the university of Notre Dame.

Career

Gayhardt's career spans more than 25 years in the financial services sector. He started his career in the industry in 1993 as President of Dollar Financial Group. During his 15-year tenure with the company, he was in charge of overseeing its international expansion and supervised the opening of more than 700 stores in the United Kingdom and Canada.

In 2012, Gayhardt became the President and CEO of CURO Group Holdings Corp. At CURO, he leads a team of more than 5,000 employees across the US and Canada that provides accessible financial solutions supported by advanced technologies. In 2022, he oversaw the sale of the company's legacy storefronts in the US and the acquisition of the consumer lender First Heritage Credit. These transactions, along with the company's acquisition of Heights Finance in 2021, allow CURO to reshape its direct lending business, enter the near-prime installment lending market, and offer larger loans.

In addition to his leadership of CURO, Gayhardt also is the chairman of Music Training Center Holdings, which offers high-quality music and performing arts classes at over 2,000 locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Gayhardt's leadership style is based on creating a collegial work environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance to motivate employees and ultimately increase employee and customer satisfaction.

Philanthropy

Gayhardt is also involved in philanthropy. He supports several non-profit organizations and local charities, including the Bryn Mawr Hospital, Philadelphia Orchestra, Speak Up, and several schools.
