DLynn Proctor (D.Lynn Proctor) is an American sommelier, vintner, film producer, and philanthropist.

Early life & education

DLynn was raised in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas. He began his career as a busser and host in local restaurants in the Uptown area of Dallas. He attended Duncanville High School.

Filmography

DLynn got his first entry into film, by playing himself in the documentary film SOMM in 2012, then the subsequent SOMM: Into the Bottle in 2015, and SOMM 3 in 2018. He then went on to serve as an associate producer and have a cameo in Uncorked (2020). DLynn is currently the sommelier on the Peacock TV talk show Hart to Heart.

Other Work

DLynn Co-Founded Wine Unify[1], a nonprofit fostering wine education for underrepresented minority groups, and amplifying the voices of the people of color who are already thriving within the wine industry. DLynn Proctor and Fantesca Estate & Winery have endowed St. Philips College in San Antonio, Texas through the 'DLynn Proctor and Fantesca Estate & Winery Scholarship'. St. Philip's is a national Historically Black College and University(HBCU) and Hispanic Serving Institution(HSI).
