History
Established in 1993 by Ron and Linda McCully, the legacy of Diamond Banque is being carried forward by their son Joel. The jewelry store has been a family owned business serving Bellevue and the surrounding areas of Redmond, Kirkland, Mercer Island, and Issaquah for over two decades. The jewelry pawn shop has been selling, buying, and providing loans on fine jewelry since 1983. As the oldest pawnshop in Bellevue, Diamond Banque has been buying precious metals including gold, silver and platinum from its neighbors in Bellevue and Mercer Island, Kirkland and Redmond. Each piece is examined on the spot right in front of the customer. Once the customer has agreed to the loan, the item is secured safe by the jewelry store.
The term loan lasts for 90 days. If it's not convenient for the customers to pick up their jewelry within 90 days, they can rewrite the loan by paying the interest due, and then have another 90 day period. On the payment of the principle and interest of the loan, the customers receive their jewelry back. However, if the customers choose not to get their items back, the loan defaults and the items go out for sale without any affect on their credit rating.
All pawn shops and jewelry lenders are strictly regulated by the State of Washington. Unlike traditional loans, the interest rates are explicitly set by the state.
