Dhruvee Haldankar (born July 17, 1986) is an Indian Actress, Anchor, Producer. She was the first Indian television shopping presenter who worked for channels like Homeshop 18, STAR CJ, Naaptol. She is an established artist in media and performing arts with a masters in journalism. She started her career training several anchors and working with CNN International, Network 18 group and channels like CNBC, TV 18, MTV, Nickelodeon, IBN 7, POGO, HOMESHOP 18. Her acting career has been challenging and rewarding with a wide range of roles in television series and shows. Her recent shows are Vighnaharta Ganesha [1] on Sony TV , Trideviyan and My Name Ijj Lakhan on Sab TV , Devanshi[2] on colors tv . Her character of Suhasini Chauhan in Trideviyaan|Trideviyan[3][4] and Shreyas Talpade’s nakli mom Shanti in My Name Ijj Lakhan shot her to fame. She has done numerous episodes of Savdhaan India[5], Crime Patrol (TV series)|Crime Patrol, Shapat , CID (Indian TV series)|CID , Shaitaan, Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi, Aamna Saamna, Bhoot Aya, Sansani Khez Kahaniya, Fear Files , Aahat , etc. We also saw Dhruvee Haldankar in strong cameo roles in shows like Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai as Sonal Shah , Baalveer as bhoot bhagao madam , Mrs. Tendulkar as Deven Bhujani’s sister , Tarak Mehta and JD Majethia’s Khidki on Sab TV , Bhagyavidhata on Colors , Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha|Kaali on Star Plus as Vijaya Mishra , Razia Sultaan[6][7] on &tv as Banjarran. She was one of the finalists in reality tv show Kitchen champion on colors hosted by Ronit Roy. She also was the first contestant in MTV Crunch on MTV , and did Date Trap on UTV Bindass.

She was also a radio jockey with India’s first radio station just for women, Meow FM 104.8 FM. she has hosted various national and international events as an anchor/emcee traveling the world as a presenter. Dhruvee is endowed with a naturally expressive voice and an inherent talent of voice modulations. She compliments it with her understanding of dramatic techniques, superb stage and screen presence, sheer energy and dedication. This is further enhanced by her multilingual command and fluency over languages. This finesse is visible in her umpteen performances across different mediums such as radio jockey, voiceovers in digital films, narrations in corporate events, advertising jingles and other gigs.

She has taken her passion for media and communication to the next level by producing documentaries on topics of social impact and immediate concern like public sanitation. As a producer her documentary film "Mala Laj Vatat Nahi" won National award. In recognition of her tenacity, diligence, hard work in constantly polishing her craft of acting, performance and contributions as a versatile actress par excellence she was recently adorned with the Maharashtra Samman of Mumbai Sandhya.

Early Life and education

Dhruvee Haldankar was born in Delhi and is a Hindu brahmin born to Deepak Haldankar and Sadhana Haldankar, into a Maharashtrian family currently living in Mumbai she has a masters degree in Mass communication and political science and did her primary and secondary education in Delhi.

Career

Dhruvee Haldankar started her career with Hughes software systems as a voice and accent trainer in 2003. She joined CNN International as a producer to kick start her journalism career in 2005. She joined Home shop 18 in 2006 and became India’s First home shopping presenter. Her anchoring career boomed with her travelling around the globe for hosting events. Dhruvee Haldankar made her acting debut for colors, Viacom 18 in 2011 in Bhagyavidhata and received recognition for reality tv drama List of programs broadcast by Colors|Kitchen Champion on Colors as a runner up. She was the first contestant in the reality show MTV Crunch on MTV in 2012 . Her first commercial film Rabba Main Kya Karoon|Rabba Mai Kya Karoon opposite Varun Sharma in 2013 was quite appreciated and she shot to fame with her first comedy show Trideviyan in 2016 on Sab TV. Later she played the role of Surasayee an evil princess in Sony TV's mythological drama Vighnaharta Ganesha produced by Contiloe Entertainment that created a buzz of her being the female Mogambo of Indian television in 2020.
