Dayne Yeager is the President and CEO of Performance Truck, and has been working in the trucking industry for 29 years. Today, he owns part of the company as well. Prior to his career in trucking, he served his community as the local FFA and 4-h president, as well as District FFA officer.[1]
Early Life and Education
Born in 1970 in Houston, Texas, Dayne Yeager grew up playing football and baseball, and also showing animals. As a result, he won the Houston livestock show and rodeo scholarship, and using this he graduated from Texas A&M with his degree in agribusiness, making the Dean's list in the process. Additionally, Dayne began team roping in 1990 and he continued until 2005.
Career
In April 2004, Dayne Yeager began working for the company Performance Truck. After a year in training and eventually taking on a greater degree of responsibility in the company, Dayne was asked to be their General Manager in 2005, and in 2018 was also given the position of CEO. Dayne has now purchased 20% of the company as well.[2]
Philanthropy
Mr. Yeager has always been passionate about serving his community. In addition to his formal public service through the FFA and 4-H, Dayne undertakes a variety of service projects in his community and is especially keen on those that help out the environment in some way.
Dayne also created The Dayne Yeager Scholarship for Entrepreneurs to give out scholarship funding to a hardworking student that is in school en route to become an entrepreneur.[3] His aim is to raise awareness of the financial struggles that students undergo on their way to a career in entrepreneurship, and to help out one of our future entrepreneurial leaders on the way.
