Daniel Connell is an Australian comedian. Connell grew up in Batemans Bay, on the New South Wales south coast.[1] He started his comedy career in Canberra[2] before moving to Melbourne in 2010.[3] Connell's style of stand up comedy has been described as "effortless"[4] and "laconic"[5]. Reviewers have described him having an "easy charm"[6] and having "mastered the art of dry observational humour."[7]

Comedy Festivals

Connell made his debut on the comedy festival scene in 2011[8]. Connell has performed at 11 consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festivals[9], as well as Edinburgh Fringe[10], Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Fringe World, and Canberra Comedy Festival.

TV Appearances

Connell has made a number of television appearances, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (ABC 2017[13], 2019[14], 2021[15]), Opening Night Comedy All Stars Supershow (ABC 2022[16]) and Comedy Up Late (ABC 2018[17], 2021[18]). He has acted in various roles in Kinne Tonight (Network 10 2019) and appeared live on The Project (Network 10 2023[19]).
