Coby Hanoch (born 1960) is the CEO of Weebit Nano, an Israel-based semiconductor company that provides Resistive Random-Access Memory (ReRAM), a specialized form of non-volatile memory.

Early Life and Education

Hanoch was born in Jerusalem, Israel on May 26, 1960 and spent his formative years in Jerusalem, Israel; Montevideo, Uruguay; New York, in Antonio, Texas. In 1977, he started his studies in Computer Science at the University of Texas San Antonio. The following year Hanoch returned to Israel and continued his studies at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Design in 1982.

Hanoch speaks English, French and Hebrew fluently.

Career

Hanoch is currently the CEO of Weebit Nano, a fabless semiconductor company based in Hod Hasharon, Israel. Weebit Nano provides ReRAM, a specialized form of non-volatile memory (NVM) that is used in applications such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, telecommunications, robotics, and autonomous vehicles. Traded on the Australian Securities Exchange under the symbol WBT, Weebit Nano is a public company that was founded in 2015. He is also President of EDAcon Partners and President of Satris Group.

Hanoch began his early career in 1980 at National Semiconductor in Israel, later joining Advanced Computer Research Institute (ACRI) in Lyon, France, then back to Israel to nSOF.

In 1995, Hanoch became part of the founding team of Verisity, a company developing functional verification tools, where he served as SVP of Worldwide Sales, setting up the sales offices worldwide.[1]. In early 2005, Verisity was acquired by Cadence Design Systems where Hanoch was appointed VP Worldwide Verification Sales[2].

In September 2005, Hanoch became CEO of PacketLight Networks[3].

In 2007, Hanoch established EDAcon Partners, a services company supporting startups looking to set up a worldwide sales channel. EDAcon set up a worldwide sales channel of its own and companies could subcontract their sales to it with Hanoch taking the role of VP Sales. EDAcon worked with many startups, and in 2011 was engaged by Jasper Design Automation which named Hanoch its VP Worldwide Sales[4]. In 2014 Jasper was acquired by Cadence[5]. At that point EDAcon engaged with Codasip, where Hanoch became VP Worldwide Sales and a member of the Board of Directors[6]

In October 2017 Hanoch joined Weebit Nano as CEO[7]. He has led Weebit through successive technical milestones and closed a series of funding rounds[8]. He also appointed Yoav Nissan-Cohen[9] and Atiq Raza[10] to the Weebit Board of Directors and added Ishai Naveh[11], Eran Briman[12] and Ilan Sever[13] to the executive management team.
