Vulnerability in VMware Cloud Director
In May 2020, Citadelo’s ethical hackers discovered a permeability in VMware-Cloud Director that left all the private clouds exposed and open to takeover.
The vulnerability – CVE-2020-3056 – was significant as bad actors could successfully exploit a cloud provider and compromise private clouds held by the company in what’s known as a supply chain attack.
