Cierra Wilson (born October 4, 1991) is an African American attorney and entrepreneur best known for handling cases in the areas of construction, employment, general liability and casualty, property management, and tenant litigation.[1][2]
Early life and education
Wilson pursued her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Criminology at Arizona State University. She later obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of La Verne.
Career
Wilson started off her career as a corporate lawyer, handling defense cases. It was during the pandemic that Cierra decided to move on from corporate law and launch her own law firm. Her areas of expertise include personal injury matters, workers' compensation, employment law, child abuse, and civil rights. She is also the founder of a consulting firm, called Cierra Esq Inc that offers entrepreneurship, law and digital marketing services to help scale business for clients.[3][4]
Cierra also served as an Associate Attorney at Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman LLP for a year before joining as an Attorney at the Law Offices of C. Wilson. She currently has class action lawsuits against Uber, Lyft, Amazon, and Grubhub.[5]
Besides being a lawyer, Wilson is also an entrepreneur who teaches people how to monetize their social media presence while promoting their brand and businesses. She offers a course called "Passion to Profit Toolkit" to help people increase their social media engagement.[6][7]
Awards and Milestones
Wilson has been a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Immigration Law. She also achieved success as an oralist in Advanced Appellate Advocacy and as a semi-finalist in the Frederick Douglass Competition.
Wilson was voted one of the top 40 under 40 by the National Black Lawyers. She is also a member of the Langston Bar Association, Black Women’s Lawyers Association, and Thurgood Marshall Bar Association.
