Chris Sherlock is an Irish Radio Presenter. He is known for presenting his own weekly show "Chris Sherlock On The Wireless" on Flirt FM 101.3 He previously presented Radar: The Midweek Show.[1]

Personal life

Sherlock was born in Galway, Ireland. He attended St Mary's College Galway in 2004 and left shortly after as he fell victim of bullying at School. Chris went on to seek further education elsewhere and always has a great interest from a young age in broadcast media and has a passion for TV/Radio Broadcasting. His other interests include Music and Photography.

Sherlock has no dating history and is currently Single.

Career

Sherlock began his radio career in 2012 presenting for Online Radio Station called "Sunset Radio", an independent online radio station based in Galway City. Then in October 2014, he joined Flirt FM,[2] a College radio station based in his home city. NUIG College Campus,[3] presenting the late afternoon show Radar: The Midweek Show[4] and then from 2016 C.S.I Session "Chris Sherlock Interview Session" Which is an in depth chat with his array of studio guests.[5] which is also Sherlock's on going podcast "Chris Sherlock On The Wireless".[6]

Chris Sherlock[7] is currently the voice of[8] "Flirt FM 101.3" His self titled Show airs on Wednesday Late afternoons at the time slot of 4pm,[9] which "The Chris Sherlock show" supports Singers signed and unsigned, authors, comedians, actors and more from Ireland and across the globe.

Writing

Sherlock has written a contributing chapter called "C.S.I - Victim Impact Statement On Being Bullied At School" for the Book Hub Publishing Group[10] Book Series "Mental Health For Millennial's"[11][12][13] In which is his recollection of his time at Secondary School. This is featured in Volume.4 of the book collection. Released October 2020.

Charity work

Sherlock has been involved in charity work over a number of years, to date has been advocate for The Galway Hospice Foundation[14][15] In 2015, Sherlock lost his Mother "Teresa" to Cancer as she received care and treatment from the local organization. Since, Sherlock has been involved with the charity in helping them raise money each year as he participates in their Annual "Memorial Walk".[16]

In 2017, Sherlock teamed up as producer with Singer Paschal Brennan, A native of Roscommon, Ireland and Music Producer Peter Kelly, a native of Tullamore, Ireland in which together they released a charity CD Single "Mother Of Mine" The CD Sold 400 Copies and was dedicated to Mothers everywhere and in Remembrance of his late Mother Teresa.[17] Available on digital platforms.[18][19]

Other charity work includes working with G.R.A.S.P,[20] A suicide prevention charity.
