Chaithra Rai (born March 29th) is an Indian television actress. She is working for Telugu and Kannada industries. She is better known for her role as Vishaka in the soap opera Radha Kalyana[1][2] which premiered on Zee Kannada channel, in Kannada television industry. In Telugu Television industry she is well known for her role as Swapan in Ashta Chamma[3] Serial telecasted on Star Maa. Now she is well known for her dual role as Dharani & Sravani as twin sisters in the serial named Attarintulu Akka Chellulu[4][5][6] which is her currently working serial which telecasts on Zee Telugu.
Early life and education
Chaithra Rai was born to Mr.B.D Vasu Rai and Mrs. Gulabi Rai at Coorg, Karnataka. She is married to Engineer Mr. Prasanna Shetty.[7] She has one younger brother. Currently Chaithra Rai lives with her Husband in Mangalore, Karnataka. Chaithra`s Education Qualification is Bachelor of Hotel Management.
Career
Chaithra rai[8] is now doing Telugu serial at Zee Telugu, Attarintulu Akka Chellulu[9] started on March 23rd 2019. Chaithra Rai began her career as an actress in Kannada television soap Kusumanjali as a supporting role. While working in Kusumanjali serial she got the offer working for another Kannada serial named Bombeyatavayya, airs on the Star Suvrana channel. The biggest breakthrough for her was with Radha Kalyana, hit Kannada serial, her role was as Vishaka, A negative role she was awarded as The Best Preyasi, Zee Kutumba Awards. She also worked for other Kannada serials which have been screened on different channels, Serial named Gejje Pooje in Zee Kannada, Nagamani & Pournami in Kasthuri TV and Yuggadi & Bannada Buguri in Udaya TV. After Successful hit of Radha Kalyana she got the opportunity for acting in Kannada criminal comedy film Jamboo Savari which received mixed reviews. Along working in Kannada industry she entered in Telugu industry in the year 2013, in super hit serial, Ashta Chamma which screened on Star Maa Tv. This was her 1st serial in Telugu and got a big breakthrough also. She was awarded for many categories in this Serial Ashta Chamma. She also worked in other Telugu TV Series named Ala Modalaindi & Okariki Okaru in Etv Telugu channel, Atto Attamma Kuthro in Gemini TV, Manasuna Manasai in Star Maa and That is Mahalakshmi in Zee Telugu.
Her Current project is Attarintulu Akka Chellulu,[9] started on March 23rd 2019, in which she is portraying the dual role as twin sisters, Sravani(Negative Role) & Dhanani (Clam & Innocent Role).
