Chaeyoung

Son Chae-young (born April 23, 1999), known mononymously as Chaeyoung, is a South Korean singer. She is a member of Twice, a K-pop girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. In addition to singing for the group, Chaeyoung is often referred to as Twice's main rapper.[1][2][3][4]
Early life
Chaeyoung was born in Seoul, South Korea[5] on April 23, 1999.[6] Chaeyoung first auditioned for JYP Entertainment at the age of 13.[4] She attended Hanlim Multi Art School with fellow group member Tzuyu, and graduated in 2019.[7] Chaeyoung was 13-years-old when she first auditioned to join JYP Entertainment as a trainee.[2] Before debuting with Twice, she appeared in music videos by Got7 and Miss A.[2][4]
Career
Chaeyoung participated in the reality television competition Sixteen (TV series) in 2015.[8] As one of nine successful participants, she went on to join the newly-formed girl group Twice.[1] On October 20, 2015, Twice officially debuted with the release of their first extended play The Story Begins.[9] The lead single "Like Ooh-Ahh" was the first K-pop debut song to reach 100 million views on YouTube.[10]
