Ana Carolina Moura Melo Dartora, best known as Carol Dartora (born 1 May 1983),[1] is a Brazilian politician and activist.[2]

Affiliated to the Workers' Party (Brazil), in the 2020 elections she gained national notoriety by being the first black woman elected to the Municipal Chamber of Curitiba.[3] She was the third most voted candidate.[4] After it, she received death threats.[5]

Carol is graduated in history from the Rio de Janeiro State University, she is a specialist in philosophy from the Federal University of São Carlos and has a master's degree in education from the Federal University of Paraná.[2]

In February 2022, Dartora participated in the Murder of Moïse Mugenyi Kabagambe#Protests. After it, she received hateful and racist messages by people who associated her with the protesters who invaded the church.[6][7]

She declares herself as leftist and black feminist.[4]
