CameraLK is a Sri Lankan photo and video equipment retailer founded in 2010, based in Colombo 05, Sri Lanka. CameraLK conducts business through online e-commerce consumer sales, business to business sales, and it's one retail location. Customers engage with CameraLK via its websites, retail store, phone sales and customer service, email, and chat channels. Anushka Gunasinghe is the Founder & Managing Director of CameraLK. Other top management consists Noeline Pereira Gunasinghe (wife of Anushka Gunasinghe) working as a directress for the company along with Ushitha Kariyawasam the general manager.

Beginning

Initially set up as a pre-order business in 2010, the founder Anushka Gunasinghe started importing cameras and other related equipment from Singapore as per customer requests. By mid 2011, the first CameraLk showroom was established near Nugegoda KFC in a 200sq ft space. Anushka was the only employee at the time of inception and he single-handedly operated the business, through social media. Sales and promotions were predominantly carried out through social media, especially Facebook.

New Showroom in Kirulapone, Website launch & CameraLk Academy

In 2013, a new fully fledged showroom to meet the customer requirements was opened. And then in 2014 the first ever camera equipment retails website was launched giving customers the opportunity to explore and purchase camera equipments. In 2014, an academy for young upcoming photographers to learn the art of photography with experts in the field as lecturers.

Largest Service Center and Largest Multi-Brand Showroom in South East Asia

In 2016 they took another step in building the CameraLk brand as the largest service center in South East Asia was opened enabling most kinds of camera equipment repairs under one roof. In 2017, CameraLk showroom expanded to become the largest multi-brand showroom in South East. The showroom spans over 6000 sq ft and displays camera equipments in the ground floor whilst the staff and the service center is stored in the first floor.

Sony Authorised Distributor & Largest Sony Showroom

In 2017 CameraLk reached its peak of success with 100% increase in sales. Shortly after appointed as the Official Authorized Dealer of Sony in Sri Lanka making Anushka one of the youngest official distributors of Sony in the world. After that this partnership took another step forward as Sony and CameraLk collaborated to open the largest showroom of Sony in South East Asia.

CameraLK also hosts an extravagant all about photography exhibition including stalls from all the brands they sell, workshops conducted by experts in the field. The first installment took place in 2018 and was an instant hit among Sri Lankan photographers circuit.
